Methacrylate Structural Adhesives

ergo® methacrylate structural adhesives are two-component adhesives that are used on metals, ferrites, plastics and ceramics to bond two substrates of the same material or different materials. They also deliver excellent results on aluminum. These bonds offer high impact resistance, peel resistance and temperature resistance, and are especially suited for bonding components that are subject to high thermal and dynamic stresses. These adhesives are used in vehicle construction, coil manufacturing and in the construction of loudspeakers and electric motors.

ergo® methacrylate structural adhesives are highly resistant to water, aliphatic or aromatic solvents, oils, grease, diluted inorganic acids and bases.

To achieve optimal bond strength, substrate surfaces must be free of oil, grease, dust and other contaminants. For maximum strength, we recommend mechanical surface abrasion, such as sanding, grinding or sandblasting.

Advantages:

  • Very wide service temperature range depending on the product (–55°C to +180°C)
  • Excellent adhesion to different types of material
  • Tolerant of low-grade mixing errors
  • Easy and reliable application using a hand-operated or pneumatic dosage gun
  • Can be integrated into automated dosing processes

Applications:

Metal, Plastic and Ceramic Bonding
  • Insensitive to mixing errors
  • Very strong adherence on various materials
  • Cures independently of material to be bonded

Applications:

  • bonds coils, loudspeakers
  • bondings in household appliances, furniture, window and door manufacturing
  • various applications in electronics and electrical engineering, machinery and engines manufacturing
  • all kinds of repairs

Methacrylate Structural Adhesives Product Overview

ergo.® structural adhesives offer outstanding performance thanks to their high impact resistance and excellent surface adhesion on different materials. Above all, they are ideal for situations wherever metals, plastics and composites have to be connected on a long-term basis under dynamic loads.

Properties

Low odor, two-component structural adhesive for bonding aluminum, steel, brass and plastics. High lap shear strength, high impact and peel resistance. Fast fixation strength, quick curing. Solvent-free.

Low odor, two component structural adhesive for bonding metals like aluminum, steel, brass and its alloys as well as ferrite,  a wide range of plastics  and combinations of those materials. It is a two-component system   and cures after mixing into a dry, high strength and impact resisting polymer film. The best mixture-ratio is 1:1 (volume) and is obtainable without problems by using the double-cartridge.

Low odor, two- component structural adhesive for bonding aluminum, steel, copper (including alloys), ferritic materials and plastics. High lap shear strength, high impact and peel resistance. Fast curing, solvent-free. Main applications are in loudspeakers and e-motors.

Two-component, fast curing structural adhesive for bonding metals, ferrites, ceramics etc. with themselves and among each other. Very high strength. High heat resistance. Application fields are, amongst others, electric motor construction, loudspeaker design, retarder design.

Very low odor

Very low odor and slow curing

Bonds metals like aluminum, steel, brass and its alloys as well as ferrite, but also a wide range of plastics (ABS, PVC, PC, PS) and combinations of those materials. The two-component system cures after mixing into a dry, tough and impact resisting polymer film. The best mixture-ratio of 1:1 (volume or weight) is obtainable by using the common double-cartridges with static mixer tube. Due to its insensitiveness to changing mixture ratios, it may be applied also as rope beside rope and mixed by hand.
