Anaerobic Adhesives

ergo.® anaerobic adhesives and universal metal adhesives are used to secure, fix and seal threads, surfaces, flanges and pipe fittings. They are characterized by their excellent resistance to thermal loads, water and humidity, and also offer high resistance to aggressive media, such as organic solvents, alkaline solutions and acids.

They are typically used in metalworking, tool construction, the automotive industry, shipbuilding, in machine, motor, pump and pipeline construction, and in the areas of hydraulics, pneumatics and precision engineering.

ergo.® anaerobic adhesives are solvent-free. They cure in the absence of atmospheric oxygen. For anaerobic conditions, make sure that the gap is as small as possible and that a sufficient amount of the adhesive is applied to surfaces. At least one part of the joint must be made of metal for the curing process to take place.

Threadlocking Product Overview

A Threadlockers should securely connect two or more components to each other, even under load. Dynamic axial or transverse loads result in relative movements that lead to a loss of the pre-stress. This loss – coupled with the eventual failure of the screw connection – cannot be prevented long term, even with the use of ribbed washers, toothed washers and spring washers.

Anaerobic ergo.® Threadlockers ensure a secure connection, even when under dynamic loads and vibrations.

Hydraulic and Pipe Sealing Product Overview

On threads that come into contact with natural gas, LPG and fluids such as oil, fuel and water, the long-term durability of the seal plays a decisive role. Hemp, pastes and Teflon-TM do not offer complete protection against leaks after swelling or after the thread has been broken.

Anaerobic thread sealants not only seal metallic threads, they also offer protection against distortion and corrosion. They are used in heating, cooling and sprinkler systems to carry fluids or gases.

Gasket and Flange Sealing Product Overview

Motor housings and flanges are in constant contact with different media and must be protected against CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion). Conventional solid sealants do not offer 100% protection against leaks. Over time, the pre-load pressure applied to the screws leads to settling effects or to cracking or drifting of the seal. When subjected to loads over long periods, this then leads to a loss of the pre-load and then to leaks.

The anaerobic ergo.® surface and flange sealants from Kisling offer reliable, long-term sealing of metallic gear and motor housings, plus flange connections. They generate a perfect material bond between the parts and ensure faultless adhesion. Retaining Compound Overview

The assembly of shafts on hubs requires a secure connection. Mechanical connections such as shims and pins influence the load distribution and eventually lead to imbalance that then has to be corrected. The microscopic relative movements that occur as a result offer ideal conditions for fretting corrosion.

ergo.® adhesives reach high levels of shear strength coupled with a much simpler and cost-effective application. The adhesive surface absorbs the forces that occur evenly, which prevents load peaks and notch effects. The adhesives cover manufacturing tolerances of up to 0.2 millimetres and offer outstanding protection against corrosion thanks to the perfect material bond.
